Hopeless and Helpless - A poem

It came down heavily
Upon all without mercy
Homes divided
Abodes scattered
Roof tattered
Upon all,
It came;
Happiness and Sorrow

Homeless to this wretched part
Without a roof above the heart
Death comes knocking
Maiming, yet calling.
Calling with no mercy,
Even unto the best hands
That is to mend the roofs
In pain and agony they cry
Anger and angst; no reply
It f

    ll
    s again!
even now,
Rendering the homeless
Hopeless and helpless…
